Old Business  –  None

New Business  –

  1. Current Bus Issues: The bus needs new tires. Greg spoke to Johnny about getting snow tires for the rear of the bus along with regular tires for the front. Concerns about heavy snow for the Williamson Valley area if the Prescott Unified School District doesn’t call a snow day. This has happened in the past. The solution is to have Greg use BrightArrow to advise the parents of either a delay or possible no bus if the snow is heavy. It would be up to the parents to decide to take their students to school that day.A discussion followed regarding any concerns a board member may have regarding issues on the bus. Any concerns are to be addressed to Johnny Kieckhefer first as Board President. Johnny also drafted a new policy which allows the bus driver to permit students to stand and move on the bus when it is safe to do so. A motion was made by Lynda to accept the new policy and Sammie seconded it.  The document was unanimously approved with Johnny Kieckhefer voting Aye, Lynda Kieckhefer voting Aye and Sammie Stuart voting Aye.

  1. Transporting Districts with SPED students: The board reviewed the email thread regarding the new rule for SPED students to have their District of Residence code changed to Prescott Unified instead of Williamson Valley. The same as for the high school students. This will change tuition due. Laura Moore has two emails asking Brian Moore to clarify this procedure and the new tuition.

The meeting concluded at 5:18pm. The next board meeting will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 4:30pm at the Wiliamson Valley Fire Station, 15450 N. Williamson Valley Road, Prescott, AZ.

Respectfully submitted,

John W. Kieckhefer, President                                                       Lynda Kieckhefer, Clerk
